Current Course Offerings include personal development classes that are part of The Life Manual, a financial class, a number of art courses, a health check clinic and a new program for returning citizens (formerly incarcerated).

OPEN ART YOUTH DROP-IN (Ages 12-18)
Students are encouraged to explore the use of color, style and individual expression. Lessons are taught in a fun, creative environment that encourages students to enjoy the process of creating unique art. Our program encourages individual expression while teaching new skills, ideas, and techniques.

CULINARY TRAINING FOR YOUTH (Ages 14-18)
The Filet of Soul Culinary Institute program for youth is for young people between the ages of 14-18. Students receive culinary training, ServSafe certification, soft skills education, resume building and job placement. The accommodation and food service industry provides a greater number of jobs (than any other industry) to youth and this training provides a major opportunity for students to take advantage of this trend.

CROCHET AND PRAY (Knitters Welcome!)
​Learn the stitches, tools, and techniques you need to get started with crochet! Join Katarina Sindoni, artist, actress, skilled trades-woman, (and prayer warrior) as she provides step-by-step instruction for getting started – from selecting the right yarn and deciphering tricky yarn labels to properly holding your hook and working yarn. You’ll love Kat’s down-to-earth approach as she teaches you a basic chain stitch and more! Crochet can help improve emotional well-being, improve cognitive and physical abilities, and enhance quality of life.

PAINTING WITH A PURPOSE
​Fun! Plain and simple. No art experience is needed. You just show up with a heart to express yourself Master a painting by learning techniques such as blending, color mixing, and various brush strokes. We provide all painting supplies and artist instructions. Kiaera Nicole is a Philadelphia native a professional artist who specializes apparel design and visual arts. She is a gifted teacher with a passion to draw out the unique creativity that lies within each one of us. According to Kiaera, “No two people were born exactly alike. We should embrace our individuality and find threads to match. Everyone has a purpose, whatever it may be. So Revel in it, you Rebel you!"

2FISH MERCI PROGRAM
2Fish Community Café in partnership with the Movement Community Development Corporation has created the 2Fish Mobilizing and Empowering Returning Citizens Initiative (MERCI)
​
Are you (or a family member or friend) formerly incarcerated and ready to make a positive change and take the necessary steps to not just survive, but to thrive?
​
The MERCI program will provide mental health services, life coaching, resource linking, training, and employment for formerly incarcerated persons. At no cost to participants, this program will:

Work directly with the participants to ensure that they successfully complete life development workshops, financial literacy classes and therapy sessions.
-
Guide participants in accessing all resources necessary to thrive such as help with resume writing and interviews, transportation, and help with childcare.
-
Interface with employers, local providers, and community members to garner support, opportunities, and resources for participants.

HEALTH CHECK CLINICS
Programs include a free CHEC-Point Clinic operated by Chester County Hospital personnel and volunteer nurses.

Blood pressure, weight, body mass index (BMI).

Screening results will be reviewed on site with either a nurse, dietitian, certified lifestyle coach, and/or certified diabetes care and education specialists.

Resources and education will be provided.

Program participants will be provided with a free healthy meal prepared by 2Fish Community Café
